Shelter.ie uses cookies sparingly and tells you exactly what's happening.

These are required for the site to work. No consent needed under the ePrivacy Regulations.

We use a self-hosted Matomo instance for first-party analytics. Matomo cookies are set only if you accept via the consent banner.

Matomo is configured with IP anonymisation (last 2 octets removed). Data is hosted within the EEA. We do not pass analytics data to any third party.

What we don't use

• No Google Analytics
• No Facebook Pixel
• No third-party marketing or advertising trackers
• No remarketing or audience-building cookies
• No "session replay" or screen-recording tools

• Most browsers also allow you to block all cookies, although this may impair functionality on many sites (not just ours).

Third-party fonts

Shelter.ie loads Cormorant Garamond and Inter from Google Fonts. Google Fonts may log the IP address of font requests. This is not under our control. If you want to avoid the request entirely, you can use a browser extension that blocks Google Fonts (the site will fall back to your system fonts; the visual design suffers slightly).
